SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Pre-School, Nursery Schools and Kindergarten
Laws for Little People

This is a program in which the police officer introduces himself as a community helper. He teaches the children the basic rules of safety, whether it is wearing their helmets or seatbelts, what to do if lost, dealing with strangers, the danger of playing with matches and using the telephone to dial 911.

First, Second, Third and Fourth Grades
For these grades, we provide classes that can deal with anything from Good Touch to Bad Touch, the issue of stealing and/or vandalism, and what to do if a student has personal problems...who to tell, or who to go to for help. I can also provide a program, titled Kids in Crime Prevention. This program is designed to show kids how they can make a contribution in their neighborhoods and schools to make these places safer for themselves, their friends and family.

Fifth Grade
In fifth grade, I can offer classes on vandalism, stealing, shoplifting as well as alcohol and drug awareness. There are also classes available on self-esteem and being assertive.

Sixth Grade
Sixth grade is the year before students attend Junior High School and we talk about Drug Abuse Prevention. We talk in an open and factual way, we discuss various legal and illegal drugs. We talk about learning to say NO to these various drugs. We can also discuss Crime Prevention as it relates to vandalism and stealing (shoplifting).
